Description
PortStore 2 PL integrates devices with a serial RS-232 interface into an Ethernet network.
Data received at the serial port can be stored offline and retrieved later via TCP/IP. This feature allows to replace protocol printers and similar equipment.
The application PS Eye is available in source code form and as a Windows executable. Running as a Windows service it regularly transfers data from the PortStore 2 PL buffer to a local file.
An extensive Software Development Kit (SDK) with many examples simplifies the integration into custom applications under Visual Basic, Borland C++, Delphi, Microsoft Visual C++, .NET, C# und Active X.
Furthermore, a virtual COM port driver is available for Windows PCs.
Network connection is provided by a 10 Mbit Ethernet interface. A 12 V wall mount adapter is used for power supply.
