SPI and JTAG programmer for Atmel AVR microcontrollers.
The SP Duo 2 is unique with its ability to program through both the normal SPI programming interface and the newer JTAG interface supported by later AVRs. The programmer communicates with the PC using the STK500 programming protocol created by Atmel, and is compatible with programming software that supports Atmel's STK500 board or AVRISP programmer.
The SP Duo 2 needs a serial COM port at the PC, but will typically work with most USB to RS-232 bridges. The required power supply is drawn from the target, voltages from 3 up to 5 Volts are supported.
